Thanh joined Saxony in 2012 for the opportunity to build a great company and culture from the ground up. Thanh leads consulting and delivery at Saxony and is responsible for business operations including talent acquisition, staffing, client delivery, and employee engagement. Additionally, he helps drive overall strategic planning for the firm.
Prior to Saxony, Thanh worked at Hitachi Consulting and Navigator Systems as a Senior Manager and Solution Architect where he focused on Technology and Architecture Strategy and Application Development for Fortune 1000 clients.
Thanh received a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. He co-founded the not-for-profit Bridge The Gap, where he served as President and Board Member. He enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife Julie, coaching soccer, and he loves to travel the world and eat.
Jeff Wilson and Derek worked together with one of the largest global real estate investment managers to form the groundwork for what is known today as Pereview. Prior to this, Mr. Thornhill worked for Longview Capital Group as a Managing Partner. He enjoys all sports because his kids play most of them. When he’s not at a game, Derek enjoys reading, college football, and building things with his hands
Tony chose to be a founding partner of Saxony for the opportunity to create a culture and environment that is unique among consulting firms. His vision is to build a team of high-caliber professionals who also enjoy being around each other. Saxony has had great success in building that dream team: industry-leading professionals who work hard while still taking the time to celebrate successes along the way.
Tony joined Saxony as Principal Architect and Partner in 2012. In addition to his leadership duties, he also plays an architect role within the company. These dual roles provide him regular interaction with employees, which helps him gather employee feedback and affords him the opportunity to communicate leadership decisions in a peer-to-peer environment.
Prior to Saxony, Tony worked for 11 years at Hitachi Consulting. As Director of Specialized Services, he provided strategic leadership for implementations of large enterprise-wide data warehouse and business intelligence projects. Prior to Hitachi, Tony worked for CompuCom Systems and Lifson Technologies.
Tony graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, minoring in Mathematics. He is a member of The Data Warehousing Institute and published author of several business intelligence articles. In addition, Tony is a two-time TDWI Best Practices award recipient, Certified Business Intelligence Professional and Certified Informatica Administrator.
Tony has five children, three of whom play ice hockey. The irony is that he moved from St. Louis to Dallas to get away from the cold, and now spends most of his time at ice rinks. Tony is an avid Disney fan, enjoys traveling and loves home improvement projects
Alex decided to work for Saxony because he understands and values the caliber of Saxony’s people and culture. He finds great fulfillment in being able to directly influence the direction and the growth of the company as well as the clients it serves.
Alex joined Saxony in 2015 as a Solution Architect and is currently Director of Client Engagement. He delivers technological business solutions with a focus on data and analytics. On the organizational side, Alex helps clients create healthier relationships between their IT and business stakeholders by aligning business strategy with technology implementation.
Prior to Saxony, Alex was a Solution Architect for Slalom Consulting, where he developed a deep understanding of the financial services industry. Before Slalom, Alex worked for Accenture as a Consultant. While there, he built a technical foundation rooted in information management and business intelligence, serving clients in high-tech, financial services, telecom, and retail industries.
Alex received his two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin: a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007 and a Master of Business Administration in 2017.
Alex and his better half are kept blissfully crazy by their two-year-old son. He enjoys spending time with the family, playing guitar and trying to play golf. In addition, Alex is a worship leader and youth mentor in his church.
Chris chooses to work for Saxony because of its people and the direct impact he can make. He enjoys the partnering Saxony has in place at all levels. A high level of respect among a close-knit group affords Chris the opportunity to learn and grow with other team members on a daily basis.
Chris joined Saxony in 2015 as Director of Consulting Services. As head of Business Transformation and Delivery (BTD) Practice, Chris manages Saxony’s industry experts in real estate, financial services and business analysis who support Saxony’s extensive solution offerings. In addition, Chris oversees Saxony’s client sales and account delivery.
Prior to Saxony, Chris co-founded Infogistics, a consulting firm that was eventually purchased by Hitachi Consulting. Chris spent 15 years at Hitachi where he applied assessment and strategy skills to manage some of their most challenging engagements.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science in Management Informations Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. He worked his way through college as a PC programmer, network administrator, PC technician, and COBOL programmer.
Chris enjoyed tutoring children and coaching his two daughters’ soccer teams when they were younger. Seeing the children’s progress over time was particularly rewarding. Chris and his wife are still heavily involved in their daughters’ school and extracurricular activities. Chris competes in Ironman and Offroad triathlons. He continues to learn how powerful the mind can be over the body and is amazed at what people can achieve when following a plan.
As Saxony’s sixth initial employee, Pete decided to join Saxony for the chance to help build a unique consulting firm and work directly with a team of knowledgeable and well-respected colleagues. He believes that the talented individuals Saxony has recruited share and embody that vision.
Pete joined Saxony Partners in 2013 as Program Manager and now works as Director of Client Engagement. While continuing to deliver projects on-time and under budget, he assists career development of hand-selected consultants to be part of Saxony’s industry focused Investment Real Estate and Private Equity service offering.
Prior to Saxony, Pete worked with CBRE as a Senior Project Manager. He also worked as a Project Manager for FTSI and DR Horton.
Pete graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree.
Pete enjoys motorsports, cycling and running. He and his wife frequently provide foster care for animals in need and support various animal and pet charities.
Every single day, the people at Saxony make him better and present enormous enjoyment. He knows how special it is to get that combination and appreciates how that allows them to do great things.
Alan joined Saxony in April of 2015 as Director of Client Engagement. Since January of 2016, as the Practice Director of Data and Analytics, Alan has developed and is currently leading a premiere analytics team that offers exceptional business value and stacks up impressively against others.
Prior to Saxony, Alan was Co-Founder and CEO of LiveLogic,a data and analytics consulting firm. With profitable growth from startup to $3 million in annual sales, LiveLogic was a two-time Inc. 5000 Award Winner and a two-time winner of Best Companies to Work for in Texas. Before LiveLogic, Alan was Director at Navigator Systems and Senior Consultant for Accenture.
Alan earned an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served in several leadership positions - including President - within the McCombs M.B.A. Alumni Group, and as a Board Member of the DFW Chapter of the Data Warehousing Institute.
Alan loves hanging out with his wife Laurie, kids Casey, Robert and Eleanor, and dogs Butch and Colt. He enjoys traveling, is an avid sports fan, and has a lifelong love/hate relationship with the game of golf.
Daniel works at Saxony for the opportunity to build something great. He feels privileged to support extraordinary consultants as they deliver unrivaled business value and solve the most difficult challenges for clients.
Daniel joined Saxony Partners in 2015 as a Business Development Executive and was promoted to Vice President in 2017. He has played a significant role in Saxony’s growth by building diverse partnerships with exceptional companies. Alongside the Data Management and Analytics team, Daniel has helped develop Saxony’s healthcare and advanced analytics practices.
Prior to Saxony, Daniel held various roles for Insight Global, where he helped to stand up their Direct Placement line of business and to establish new roles and processes for recruiting leadership and training. Daniel also worked as a Philosophy Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas.
Daniel graduated from the University of North Texas with both a B.A. and an M.A. in Philosophy. He serves on the Board of the DFW Chapter of Comp-TIA’s Association of Information Technology Professionals.
Daniel and his wife are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first baby. An amateur musician, wine enthusiast and foodie, he enjoys visiting national parks, running and hiking. Daniel is also an Eagle Scout and mentors students for Year Up, a nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the Opportunity Divide.
Michael joined Saxony in January of 2018 as Director of Talent Acquisition. Leveraging 15 years of experience, he has developed strategies for workforce planning and recruiting top talent. Michael also heads up People and Culture initiatives, focusing on positive company culture, branding messages, and employee / candidate experiences. The culture affords him an opportunity to apply his unique perspective to challenge the status quo by developing a people culture focused on relationships rather than head count.
Prior to Saxony, Michael served in the United States Navy for 10 years and went on to be Assistant Vice President of Talent Acquisition at GM Financial, where he transformed and optimized the company’s IT and corporate talent acquisition process. “People are the fiber that make up a team which must be valued and developed to ensure growth, confidence, and excellence. For years I have been building, leading and developing team members with this mindset to develop professional engagement skills.”
